How did the Higher Universe get started?

Shortly after meeting in the early 2000s writer Brandon Rhiness and artist Adam Storoschuk became roommates in Bonnyville, Alberta, Canada. They lived in a house with some other people. They became friends after realizing their shared love of beer, heavy metal and comics.

Storoschuk showed Rhiness a collection of drawings he’d done of various superhero characters. Storoschuk had names and origins for the characters but hadn’t really put any thought into how they all fit together. Rhiness soon began piecing it all together and started writing storylines based on the characters.

Demonman, as well as the superhero team The Misfits were the first to really come together. Other characters and titles began soon after.

Brandon Rhiness & Adam Storoschuk currently live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
