Bruno is the assistant/test subject of mad scientist Baron Von Lederhosen.
In post-World War I Germany Bruno was the only child in a poor working-class family. One day a rich, eccentric millionaire scientist named Baron Von Lederhosen came through Bruno’s village and the two met.
Von Lederhosen ended up hiring Bruno to work for him at his castle in the Bavarian region of Germany. Over the next decade or so the mad scientist did many experiments on poor Bruno that changed him into the grotesque hunchback he is today.
Bruno is not that intelligent and never questions his master. He is always a faithful servant. Even when it doesn’t work in his best interests.
